Burke Health, a Waynesboro, Ga.-based community hospital specializing in orthopedics, has installed the ExcelsiusGPS robot to assist surgeons performing spine procedures, NBC affiliate WRDW reported Oct. 20.

The Spine Center at Valley View, a nonprofit health system in Glenwood Springs, Colo., installed Medtronic's Mazor X Stealth robot.

Presbyterian Santa Fe (N.M.) Medical Center is now offering robotic assisted knee replacement surgery using the Rosa Knee System, the Santa Fe New Mexican reported Oct. 17.

The Atlantic General Hospital Orthopedic Surgery unit in Berlin, Md., is set to receive a Stryker Mako robotic arm in mid September, according to a Sept. 8 report from OC Today.

Johnson & Johnson is planning to develop its own spine robot to rival the platforms launched by Medtronic, Globus Medical and emerging device companies, company executives said Sept. 7 during the 2022 Wells Fargo Healthcare Conference, according to Seeking Alpha.
