Here are five robotic surgery milestones Becker's has reported on since Sept. 5: 

Medical City Weatherford (Texas) completed its 100th orthopedic robotic surgery, according to a Sept. 16 announcement in The Weatherford Democrat.

Robert Burke, MD, has completed his 1,000th procedure using OrthAlign's technology for total hip and knee replacements. 

Resurgens Orthopaedics' Austell, Ga., location has become the first practice in the region to offer robotic assisted total knee replacements using Smith + Nephew's CORI Surgical System.

East Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics has added Mouhanad El Othmani, MD, to its joint replacement center. 

Greenville, N.C.-based ECU Health Medical Center received its first two accreditations from the Surgical Review Corporation.

Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital has performed its first total knee replacement surgery using robotic assistance, according to a Sept. 5 report from GreenwichFreePress.com.

Kettering Health Hamilton (Ohio) has added Zimmer Biomet's Rosa robot for robotic-assisted total knee replacements.

Maysville, Ky.-based Meadowview Regional Medical Center has added a Mako robot for partial and total knee replacements, according to an Aug. 26 report from The Ledger Independent. 

Phoenix-based Abrazo Health is growing its robotic spine program and added the ExcelsiusGPS to its Glendale, Ariz.-based Arrowhead Campus, YourValley.net reported Aug. 22.

The University of Alabama Birmingham added the ExcelsiusGPS spine robot, according to an Aug. 22 news release. 

Frankfort (Ky.) Regional Medical Center has completed its 100th robotic-assisted orthopedic procedure, according to an Aug. 21 report from The State Journal.

Monogram Orthopaedics' next surgical robot reached the verification phase in its commercialization path, the company said Aug. 14.

Stryker remains on track to deliver Mako shoulder and spine applications in 2024, CEO Kevin Lobo said in an Aug. 3 earnings call.

Four surgeons at Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics have collectively completed 500 total joint replacement surgeries using Stryker's Mako robotic system. 

Coastal Orthopedics, based in Bradenton, Fla., invested in two new surgical robots to assist in total and partial knee replacement procedures at its outpatient surgery center.

Rajesh Makim, MD, performed Orthopedic Associates of Port Huron's first knee replacement with Mako SmartRobotics in June.
