Virginia Beach, Va.-based LifeNet Health has acquired a research laboratory for liver disease and sports medicine research, according to an Oct. 10 report from WA.com.
The 5,700-square-foot space will be a hub for the system's life sciences research programs in Virginia Beach and will allow better research outcomes for patients in the region.
"We are excited to widen our footprint and generate new jobs in Virginia Beach, especially when many organizations are downsizing," John Herre, MD, chair of the LifeNet Health board of directors, told the news outlet.
