Parkview Health, Ortho Northeast to operate Lake George Surgery Center

Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health and Ortho Northeast have partnered with four physicians to operate Fremont, Ind.-based Lake George Surgery Center, according to a Dec. 10 report from The Herald Republican.

The surgery center first opened in 2020 as a joint venture between Coldwater, Mich.-based physicians and Towson, Md.-based SurgCenter Development. 

The 7,988-square-foot facility has two operating rooms, one procedure room and eight patient bays for pre- and post-operative care. It provides general surgery, endoscopy, orthopedics, ophthalmology and podiatry.

Surgeons currently operating Lake George Surgery Center include Richard Hartman, MD, Akram Daoud, MD, Joseph Holicki, MD, and Christopher Bussema, MD. 

A new orthopedic provider will also join the practice in February 2025. 

Parkview and ONE currently jointly operate Parkview SurgeryONE, located at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, and recently broke ground on a new ASC and medical office building in Warsaw, Ind., set to open in October 2025. 

Parkview also operates an ASC on the Parkview Southwest campus and recently announced a collaboration with Surgery Partners to expand ASCs in the state.
