Piedmont Augusta (Ga.) has partnered with OrthoAtlanta to open a new practice in the Atlanta area, according to an Oct. 5 report from local ABC affiliate WJBF.

Lawrenceville, Ga.-based Summit Spine & Joint Centers has opened a new pain management clinic in Newnan, Ga. 

Bethesda, Md.-based Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics added the PatientIQ platform for outcomes data collection and analysis, according to an Oct. 5 news release. 

Bone & Joint of Albany (N.Y.) added AthenaOne as its electronic health record system, AthenaHealth said Oct. 4.

The BoulderCentre (Colo.) for Orthopedics & Spine plans to open a new clinic in Broomfield, Colo., next month, according to an Oct. 2 report from BizWest.

Woodbury, N.Y.-based South Island Orthopedics, an affiliate of management services organization Health Plus Management, is expanding into Rockaway, N.Y., in collaboration with St. John's Episcopal Hospital. 

Two years ago, the Iowa Board of Regents gave Iowa City-based University of Iowa permission to construct a 469,000-square-foot hospital in North Liberty. Administrators have now confirmed that the system plans to move "the majority" of its orthopedic and sports medicine program to the new facility, according to a Sept. 27 report from The Gazette.

Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke's University Health Network has unveiled a $44 million specialty hospital for same-day orthopedic surgeries in Allentown, Pa., according to a Sept. 25 report from Lehigh Valley Business. 

Indianapolis-based OrthoIndy opened a new hospital and facility in Brownsburg, Ind.

American Medical Administrators acquired Macon, Mo.-based Midwest Bone and Joint Center and its ASC, according to a Sept. 22 news release.
