Meet Medtronic's C-suite team

Here are seven of the chief executives leading medical device and spine technology company Medtronic: 

Geoff Martha, chairman and CEO, assumed his role in 2020 pandemic and leads the $31 billion company and its 95,000 employees in an effort to deliver groundbreaking technology solutions. 

Scott Cundy, senior vice president and chief quality officer, oversees global quality for the company and joined Medtronic in January 2023. He partners with business groups and global regions to ensure quality and reliability from development through manufacturing, distribution and end-customer use and is responsible for driving the strategic direction for quality programs through the implementation of policy and standards.

Laura Mauri, MD, senior vice president and chief scientific, medical and regulatory officer, joined Medtronic in 2018. Her strategic responsibilities include driving the integration of medical and scientific intelligence to inform business decisions and delivering a transformative approach to patient safety and patient engagement. She is also an interventional cardiologist who practiced for 15 years. 

Torod Neptune, senior vice president and chief communications officer, joined Medtronic at the beginning of 2021 and is responsible for corporate marketing, corporate communications and corporate brand. He oversees the Medtronic Foundation and Medtronic’s social business enterprise, Medtronic LABS, developing community-based, tech-enabled products and services for underserved patients.

Karen Parkhill, executive vice president and CFO, joined Medtronic in 2016. She is responsible for leading the Medtronic global finance organization and key supporting functions, including treasury, controller, financial planning and analysis, internal audit, investor relations, corporate strategy, business development, portfolio management and the IT function.

Matt Walter, chief human resources officer, was appointed to his position in 2023 after nine years with Medtronic in various HR roles. He is tasked with leading the talent, culture and organization strategies that support the more than 95,000 Medtronic employees. 

Ken Washington, senior vice president and chief technology and innovation Officer, joined Medtronic in 2023. He is responsible for accelerating Medtronic innovation through product development and technology strategies. He partners with teams and leaders around Medtronic to ensure our products and therapies continue to advance at the company.
