9 orthopedic practice moves in the South

Here are nine orthopedic practice openings, relocations, affiliations and acquisitions in the South that Becker's has reported on since Jan. 4:

1. Topp Spine & Orthopaedics relocated its practice to St. Simons Island, Ga.

2. Willis Knighton Bossier Orthopedics opened a satellite clinic in Ruston, La.

3. Benton, Ark.-based Saline Clinics opened a new facility specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine in Benton, Ark.

4. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist opened an orthopedics, sports medicine and podiatry clinic in Kernersville, N.C.

5. Orthopedic Care Partners affiliated with Palm Beach Hand to Shoulder in Palm Beach, Fla.

6. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health finalized its planned acquisition of Paducah-based Orthopedic Institute of Western Kentucky.

7. Jackson-based West Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic is constructing a new 55,000-square-foot medical facility in Jackson that will be large enough to house all of its area providers and services under one roof. 

8. The Institute for Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine will merge with Orthopedic Center of Florida starting April 1.

9. Charleston-based West Virginia University Medicine Thomas Hospitals opened the state's first full-service, comprehensive orthopedic hospital.
