Bariatric and general surgeon Fernando Bayron, MD, recorded his 2,000th robotic surgery, according to South Florida Hospital News and Healthcare Report.
Dr. Bayron is part of Tenet Florida Physician Services and practices at Florida Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
He uses Intuitive Surgical's da Vinci Xi Surgical System in procedures such as inguinal and ventral hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, reflux surgery and colon resection surgery.
With two da Vinci Xi Surgical Systems, Florida Medical Center serves as an Intuitive-approved epicenter visit site. Dr. Bayron helps train other surgeons to use the robotic technology.
