Midland (Texas) Health now owns a Mazor X Stealth robotic navigation system along with two DaVinci robots, according to the Midland Reporter-Telegram.
Five things to know:
1. The Mazor X Stealth robotic navigation system expands treatment options within Midland Memorial Hospital's spine surgery program, which is in its early stages.
2. The robotic system uses image-based preoperative analytics with intraoperative guidance to create personalized surgical plans.
3. It is used to treat complex scoliosis and kyphosis, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, spondylolisthesis, and repeat spinal procedures.
4. Midland Health was also one of the first healthcare systems in the Permian Basin to acquire a DaVinci robot.
5. The DaVinci robots enable surgeons to perform complex, minimally invasive gynecological, urological and general surgical procedures.
