Keith Meister, MD, performed successful Tommy John surgery on Félix Bautista, a pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles, on Oct. 9.
Mr. Bautista underwent the procedure to reconstruct the UCL in his right elbow at Trinity Park Surgery Center in Arlington, Texas, according to a news release from the team. He is expected to miss the entire 2024 season.
Dr. Meister is the head team physician for the Texas Rangers and serves as director of Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Surgery, also in Arlington.
