An orthopedic surgeon's $15 million verdict against Thomas Jefferson University was reversed, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported March 14.

U.S. District Judge Michael Baylson tossed out a December jury decision that the Philadelphia-based hospital conducted a gender-biased investigation against John Abraham, MD, the report said.

Before the ruling, the verdict was the largest-ever under Title IX, the report said.

Dr. Abraham had faced allegations of sexual assault, and the hospital investigated the incident. He later resigned from the hospital.

Dr. Abraham's attorneys didn't respond to The Philadelphia Inquirer for comment.
