Oxford Performance Materials to spin off orthopedic business

Medical device manufacturing company Oxford Performance Materials plans to form a focused entity for its 3D-printed orthopedic implants.

The company moved to expand its orthopedic implant operations in response to the high growth of the market and its uptick in development of personalized implants, according to a Sept. 19 news release from Oxford.

OPM began 3D printing cranial and facial implants in 2014 and has produced more than 4,500 craniomaxillofacial devices to date, according to the release.
