Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare has completed an 18,000-square-foot orthopedic ASC that is jointly owned by the health system and a group of Bronson orthopedic surgeons.
The ASC, which has four operating suites, will open to patients soon, according to a July 28 press release.
It will provide sports medicine care, joint replacements, hand surgery, fracture repair, foot and ankle surgery and general orthopedic surgery.
It is estimated that the ASC will accommodate over 5,000 orthopedic cases every year, according to the release.
Construction on the ASC began in 2021 in response to a growing demand for orthopedic care. The new facility is expected to help reduce overall wait times at Bronson Methodist Hospital, also in Kalamazoo.
