WWE star returns to action following spinal fusion

World Wrestling Entertainment star Randy Orton has returned to the ring following a spinal fusion procedure, according to a Feb. 23 report from Wrestle Zone.

Mr. Orton was away from WWE for two years due to a spinal injury and was told by physicians that he likely would not compete again, according to the report.

In 2023, he made his return at the Survivor Series War Games Premium Live Event. He is now able to compete pain free following the spinal fusion procedure.

"I was with a couple doctors. I was with a couple top-of-their-class neurosurgeons and they had looked at the MRI," Mr. Orton told the New York Post. "And based on my symptoms and how bad my lower spine was, based on the MRIs they were like, "You know what, you've had a great career. You got to start thinking about your life past wrestling and being there for your kids. This surgery isn't the type of surgery you come back from and remain an athlete from.'"
