What 5 Zimmer Biomet execs were paid since 2020

Zimmer Biomet's CEO Bryan Hanson's total compensation grew to about $16.4 million in 2022, according to a recent Securities and Exchange Commission proxy filing.

The devicemaker's March 30 filing revealed the compensation packages for five executives from 2020 to 2022. Compensation packages include salary, stock and option awards, non-equity incentive plan compensation, bonuses and other pay.

Here's what each executive made during that time:

Bryan Hanson, chair, president and CEO

2022: $16.4 million

2021: $15 million

2020: $13 million

Suketu Upadhyay, vice president and CFO

2022: $5.5 million

2021: $4.6 million

2020: $3.9 million

Ivan Tornos, COO

2022: $6.4 million

2021: $4.9 million

2020: $4.1 million


Sang Yi, president of APAC

2022: $3.6 million

2021: $3.4 million

2020: $2.8 million

Chad Phipps, senior vice president, general counsel and secretary

2022: $3.2 million
