10 orthopedic devices that received FDA clearance this year

From robots to pelvic technology, orthopedic devices have seen major breakthroughs in 2022. 

Here are 10 new devices that the FDA has cleared to be marketed as safe and effective this year:

1. MicroPort Navibot received clearance on its first robot-assisted platform for total knee replacements. 

2. Onkos Surgical received clearance on its My3D pelvic reconstruction system. 

3. Aurora Spine received clearance on its Zip minimally invasive spinal implants. 

4. Medtronic received clearance on its LigaPass 2.0 ligament augmentation system. 

5. SI-Bone received clearance on its iFuse-TORQ printed implant technology, used to treat pelvic fractures. 

6. Zavation Medical received clearance on its EZspand lateral cage. 

7. SMAIO received clearance on its Balance Analyzer 3D planning software. 

8. Stryker received clearance on its Q guidance system for spine surgery. 

9. Accelus received clearance on its Toro-L interbody fusion system.

10. Accelus received clearance on its TiHawk11 interbody device for lumbar fusion procedures.
