Albany, Ga.-based Orthopaedic Associates is planning to close its doors permanently on April 30, citing increasing costs and declining reimbursements, according to a Jan. 13 report from NBC affiliate WALB.
"It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the citizens of Southwest Georgia in providing orthopedic and musculoskeletal care. It is with great sadness that we will not be able to continue to do so," a post on the practice's Facebook page reads.
On Jan. 10, the practice stopped seeing new patients and will end all surgeries on Jan. 30, according to the report.
