Montgomery-based Alabama Orthopaedic Specialists will join Columbus, Ga.-based Hughston Clinic starting June 1, ABC affiliate WTVM reported April 13.
The practice has five physicians who will serve Alabama's Montgomery, Prattville and Wetumpka communities. It was founded in 1980, according to its website.
Alabama has been a recent hot spot for orthopedic mergers and acquisitions. In February, another Montgomery-based practice, Southern Orthopaedic Surgeons, joined U.S. Orthopaedic Partners.
