Ehsan Jazini, MD, of Reston-based Virginia Spine Institute, completed his 100th cervical disc replacement using Prodisc's implants.
He is the fourth surgeon in the U.S. to reach the milestone, and he completed the 100th case at HCA Reston Hospital Center, VSI said in a Sept. 18 news release. Dr. Jazini has completed more than 1,000 total disc replacements in his career.
"Each procedure is tailored to meet the patient's specific needs, allowing them to regain mobility and live pain-free, active lives," Dr. Jazini said in the release. "This achievement highlights my dedication to innovation and solidifies my leadership role in modern spine surgery."
