John Braca, III, MD, was named chief of neurosurgery at the UPMC Neurological Institute and hospital services in central and north central Pennsylvania, Tri-State Alert reported Nov. 1.
Dr. Braca will oversee eight UPMC Neurological Institute locations in the role, the report said. His clinical practice includes degenerative spine care, motion-preserving spine surgery, brain tumors and carotid endarterectomy.
He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla and completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.
