Fraser Henderson, MD, is a neurosurgeon and director of Metropolitan Neurosurgery Group in Silver Spring, Md., and chief of neurosurgery at Doctors' Community Hospital in Lanham, Md.
He designed 11 devices related to the brainstem and spinal cord and published over 50 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on craniocervical disorders.
Dr. Henderson earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville and was chief resident at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.
He was brigade neurosurgeon for the 4th Marine expeditionary brigade in Desert Shield and Desert Storm during the first Gulf War before he came home to complete a fellowship in craniospinal surgery at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London.
He is a member of the Washington Academy of Neurosurgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Cyberknife Society and AANS Tumor Section among others.
