Dan M. Sciubba, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon at Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Dr. Sciubba specializes in complex spine surgery. He is a neurosurgery, oncology and orthopedic surgery professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He serves as the director of spine tumor and spinal deformity research in Johns Hopkins’ neurosurgery department and directs a laboratory examining animal models of spinal tumors.
He received his medical degree from New York City-based Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed spine surgery fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Tampa, Fla.-based Shriners Hospitals for Children.
He has served as the principal investigator or co-principal investigator on several clinical trials and published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles and 40 book chapters. Dr. Sciubba currently serves as a consultant for DePuy Synthes, Medtronic, NuVasive, Globus Medical and Stryker.
