Medical technology giants Medtronic and Stryker have been named on Forbes' sixth annual "World's Best Employers" list.
To create the ranking, data company Statista surveyed 150,000 full-time and part-time workers from 57 countries working for multinational companies and institutions. Respondents were asked to rate their employers in several areas, such as their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. The 800 companies that received the highest scores made the final list. Read more about the methodology here.
Medtronic was ranked No. 306 on the list. Founded in 1949, the company has 90,000 employees and is headquartered in Dublin. Medtronic's product portfolio aids the treatment of more than 70 health conditions from spinal technologies to surgical robotics.
Stryker was ranked No. 761 on the list. Founded in 1941, the company has 46,000 employees and is headquartered in Kalamazoo, Mich. Stryker offers products and services in orthopedics, medical, surgical, neurotechnology and spine.
