Former Youngstown orthopedic surgeon dies at 82

Robert Cuttica, MD, a former orthopedic surgeon at Youngstown (Ohio) Orthopedic Associates, has died at 82, according to a Nov. 8 report from ABC affiliate WKBN.

From 1973 to 1975, Dr. Cuttica served in the U.S. Navy as a lieutenant commander and chief of the orthopedic service at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Yokosuka, Japan.

He joined Youngstown Orthopedic Associates in 1975, where he practiced until his retirement. After retirement, he worked briefly  with James Pantelakis, MD, at the Poland (Ohio) Medical Center.

He served as president of the medical staff at the Youngstown Hospital Association, medical director of the adult program at the Easter Seal Center, assistant professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at Northeast Ohio Medical University and was a member of the Oblate Sisters' Advisory Board.
