Richard Ferkel, MD, operated on Atlanta Hawks guard Seth Lundy, the team said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Dr. Ferkel removed a left medial ankle bone spur on May 1, the post said. The surgery was completed at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys.
Mr. Lundy is expected to make a full recovery before the 2024-2025 season.
