South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster had an outpatient knee surgery to address a meniscus tear, his office said April 4.
He suffered the minor knee injury in 2022 while playing tennis. The arthroscopic procedure took less than half an hour, Mr. McMaster's orthopedist Jeffrey Guy, MD, said in the release.
Mr. McMaster planned to resume his regular work later the same day.
