Here are four health systems that have earned certifications for orthopedic and spine care since Feb 24.:
1. Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital earned The Joint Commission's Advanced Certification for Total Hip and Knee Replacement.
2. AdventHealth Altamonte Springs (Fla.) became the first hospital in Florida designated as an orthopedic and spine center of excellence by DNV.
3. South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Barton Health earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval in spine surgery and knee and hip joint replacement.
4. Clarion-based Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics was designated an orthopedic and spine center of excellence by the DNV.
