Mon Health Preston Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., will now offer same-day total knee and hip replacement procedures.
Steven McLaughlin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the hospital, completed the first two same-day procedures in early December.
"Expanding clinical services and bringing care closer to home is our driving mission. We are extremely proud of our orthopedics team for their dedication to providing the best care possible to our patients," Melissa Lockwood, chief administrative officer at the hospital, said in a Dec. 13 press release.
