Shriners Children’s Northern California in Sacramento became the second pediatric hospital to earn verification as a Level I Specialty Children's Surgery-Musculoskeletal Surgery Center by the American College of Surgeons.
Verification was earned by meeting standards in patient care and safety, the hospital said in a Dec. 15 news release. U.S. News and Report ranked Shriners Children’s Northern California as one of the top orthopedics prorams in the country.
"We are honored to be only one of two pediatric hospitals in the nation with this verification, chief of orthopedics," Michelle James, MD, said in the release. "This verification from the American College of Surgeons reflects our organization’s commitment to providing individualized, patient-centered, high-quality care and experience for the families we serve."
