Total Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Hempstead, N.Y. settled claims it viplated the Americans with Disabilities Act, the U.S. Attorney's Office for Eastern District of New York said March 28.
The clinic was accused of not accomodating a deaf patient during an appointment in 2020, according to a news release. The patient alleged they didn't get appropriate auxiliary aids and services including a sign-language interpreter.
