Retail spine chain The Back Space was previously under Brentwood, Tenn.-based IMAC Holdings until it was sold.
Here is a timeline of the company's growth:
July 2021: A pilot of The Back Space across Walmart locations was underway. Locations provide chiropractic adjustments, nerve and muscle stimulation and percussion tool therapies for soft tissue recovery, muscle relaxation and spinal wellness in the retail store.
October 2021: IMAC Holdings opened two Back Space locations in Tennessee.
April 2022: IMAC Holdings announced the completion of its pilot program with The Back Space. At the time, the company planned 20 more Walmart locations.
IMAC Holdings opened two Back Space locations in Florida.
November 2022: By the end of 2022, visits to The Back Space soared 1,818 percent year-over-year in the third quarter.
March 2023: IMAC Holdings sold The Back Space to Curis Functional Health.
