Michael Wolff, MD, was named the first master instructor for the Discseel procedure, a minimally invasive outpatient spine treatment.
He has more than 25 years of research in developing and performing intradiscal procedures and is one of the few physicians certified to perform the Discseel procedure, according to a May 22 news release.
The procedure injects fibrin into discs to seal them and promote healing in the disc wall and within the disc. Other biologic therapies can be used during the procedure to enhance healing.
More than 7,000 Discseel procedures have been performed.
