Gregory Mundis Jr., MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon at La Jolla, Calif.-based Scripps Clinic.
Dr. Mundis is currently the acting director of Global Spine Outreach, which provides services and surgeries to children with complex spinal deformities. He goes on a minimum of four missionary trips every year with Global Spine Outreach and recently treated 40 pediatric patients in Mexico, the Del Mar Times reports.
He is the co-director of the San Diego Spine Fellowship, a multi-hospital program that trains two spine surgeons each year.
Dr. Mundis received his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia and underwent spine surgery fellowship training with the San Diego Spine Fellowship.
