From CEO shifts to board of directors reshuffling, here are seven device company leadership appointments covered by Becker's since April 26:

1. Medtronic promoted Laura Mauri, MD, to serve as chief scientific, medical and regulatory officer.

2. Wenzel Spine appointed William Wilson as CEO almost two months after the devicemaker's former CEO died.

3. Stryker promoted two members of its board of directors to leadership positions. Sherilyn McCoy is replacing Allan Golston as lead independent director and Mary Brainerd is stepping in to replace Ms. McCoy as chair of the governance and nominating committee.

4. Preston Wells, vice president of investor relations at Stryker, was appointed vice president and group CFO for the devicemaker's spine and orthopedic business.

5. Johnson & Johnson MedTech named Kurt Van den Bosch as CFO. 

6. Zimmer Biomet appointed Paul Stellato as vice president, controller and chief accounting officer.

7. Spinal Simplicity, the devicemaker behind the minimally invasive Minuteman procedure, hired Tom Hedman, PhD, as senior principal scientist.
