6 medtech notes: Medtronic, Orthofix and more

From financial results to FDA clearances, here are six key updates from spine and orthopedic medtech companies since May 22.

1. Orthofix named Max Reinhardt as president of global spine effective June 10.

2. Medtronic in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024 saw $8.6 billion in revenue along with a net income of $654 million.

3. Spineart received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Scarlet AC-Ti secured anterior cervical cage.

4. Vuze Medical's software-based 3D spine guidance earned FDA 510(k) clearance for its second iteration.

5. Canary Medical earned the FDA's breakthrough designation for its smart lumbar spine cartridge.

6. The first European surgeries using Stryker's Gamma4 Hip Fracture Nailing System have been completed in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Strasbourg, France.
