Warren, Ohio-based Trumbull Regional Medical Center acquired Mako surgical robots to assist with total joint replacement procedures, Business Journal Daily reports.

Trumbull is the only hospital in Trumbull County to have Mako's robotic technology. The Mako assists surgeons in planning the procedure and then helps them follow through with the plan during the procedure.

Trumbull Regional is operated by Dallas-based Steward Medical Group.
