Milestones
- Michael Gallizzi, MD, of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., completed his 300th robotic spine surgery. He uses the ExcelsiusGPS robot.
- Brian Fiani, DO, of Livonia, Mich.-based Mendelson Kornblum Orthopedic & Spine Specialists, completed his 100th case with Medtronic's Mazor robot.
Organizations adding robots
- Teaneck, N.J.-based Holy Name Medical Center added Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS system.
- Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Ill., added the Mako robot for hip and knee replacement.
- Berlin-based Central Vermont Medical Center added a Stryker Mako robot for total joint replacements.
