Charges were dropped against orthopedic surgeon Grant Robicheaux, MD, and his girlfriend, who were accused of drugging and assaulting several women, the Los Angeles Times reported July 7.

Orange County Superior Court Judge Michael Leversen dropped the last remaining sex charges in the case, ruling there was not enough evidence to send the defendants to trial, the report said. The duo still face felony charges for allegedly drugging a woman's drink. Dr. Robicheaux also faces felony counts of illegal possession of assault weapons and misdemeanor charges for alleged illegal drug possession.

Authorities began investigating the couple in 2016, and they were arrested in 2018. Investigators found drugs and weapons in Dr. Robicheaux's home, along with photos and videos of victims on his and his girlfriend's phones.
