11 sports medicine surgeons joining new systems in 2023

Here are 11 orthopedic sports medicine specialists who have joined new health systems, organizations and hospitals since the start of 2023 that Becker's has reported on:

1. Bethesda, Md.-based the Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics added David Streets, MD, to its team of orthopedic surgeons.

2. Kristi Hultman, MD, joined Orthopaedic Associates of Duluth (Minn.).

3. Dhurba Dhungana, MD, joined Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Tyrone, Pa.

4. Loyola Medicine in Maywood, Ill., named Mary Mulcahey, MD, division director of sports medicine.

5. Daniel Gonzalez, MD, joined Holy Cross Health Orthopedic Institute in Oakland Park, Fla.

6. The Advanced Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Owensboro, Ky., added Bryce Meredith, DO.

7. Drew Iman, DO, joined Crovetti Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Las Vegas.

8. Michael Magee, MD, joined the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center orthopedic surgery team in Ogdensburg, N.Y. 

9. Rhett Griggs, MD, joined Meeker-based Colorado Advanced Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Spine's surgical team.

10. Israel Yahuaca, MD, joined Franciscan Physician Network in Michigan City and Chesterton, Ind. 

11.  Marc Matarazzo, MD, joined the Center for Bone and Joint Surgery in Jupiter and Port St. Lucie, Fla.
