Large orthopedic practices have their eyes set on growth beyond headquarters in 2022.
Here what three practices' footprints could look like this year:
1. Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is scaling up its presence in Florida with plans to have eight total locations opened in the state by the end of 2022. Rothman also plans to open in California, President Alex Vaccaro, MD, PhD, said.
2. Atlanta-based Resurgens Orthopaedics, which got private equity investment in 2021, is also looking to grow in the Southeast, CEO Alex Bateman said. The practice hasn't announced new partnerships so far in 2022, but Mr. Bateman said there are discussions with Western and Southeast practices.
3. Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Sports & Spine Center earned private equity investment in January and has plans to expand. Details about new partnerships and locations haven't been revealed yet.
