Spine Sports and Interventional Pain Medicine's Sanjeev Agarwal, MD, recently opened an office in New York City.

What you should know:

1. The office features a procedure suite.

2. Dr. Agarwal will offer total-body physician assessments, advanced diagnostic testing, interventional pain procedures and some regenerative medicine therapies.

3. He is quadruple-board certified in physiatry, pain medicine, sports medicine and palliative medicine.

4. Dr. Agarwal said, "Our goal here at SSIP is to treat the whole patient, not just their symptoms. We focus first on thorough assessment to get the right diagnosis, and then take a conservative approach, treating the patient’s pain using non-narcotic techniques, while working with them to repair function, rebuild strength and recover."
