MaRS Discovery District in Toronto General Hospital is accepting applications for its Spinal Cord Rehab Innovation Challenge, according to Betakit.
With a prize pool of $200,000, the competition is seeking innovations to measure rehabilitation activities and their impact on patients with spinal cord injuries.
The competition has a grand prize of $100,000 and two other prizes of $50,000.
Applicants must demonstrate the rehabilitation activities and measurements of function they are reporting on, how the measurements were validated and a description of the spinal cord injury patients involved.
MaRS is a nonprofit organization that aims to commercialize publicly funded medical research and innovations.
The deadline to apply for the competition is June 11.
