1. Orthopedic devicemaker Paragon 28 added B. Kristine Johnson and Kristina Wright to its board of directors.
2. Spine Wave launched two products for spinal fusions: the Defender titanium plate and screw system and the Stronghold C titanium device for cervical interbody fusion.
3. Houston-based Circinus Medical Technology closed its initial round of series A financing. The financing will be used to commercialize the Bolt Navigation System in the U.S., Europe and other markets.
4. NuVasive lifted its voluntary ship hold on Precice titanium devices in the U.S. months after the FDA raised concerns about them in July.
5. Chris Barry, CEO of NuVasive, and Jason Haider, founder and CEO of Xenco Medical, were named on San Diego Business Journal's "500 Most Influential People in San Diego" list.
6. Elon Musk aims to use Neuralink implants in human patients in 2022, he told The Wall Street Journal. The implants are expected to be used in spinal cord injury patients.
