New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System has renewed its multiyear partnership with the United States Tennis Association through 2026.

Mount Sinai will continue as the official health provider of the U.S. Open tennis championship and the official care provider for the U.S. teams at the Billie Jean King Cup and the Davis Cup, according to an Aug. 15 news release from Mount Sinai.

This marks the USTA's 11th year of collaboration with Mount Sinai. Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai orthopedics professor Alexis Colvin, MD, serves as chief medical officer for the U.S. Open while associate orthopedics professor Melissa Leber, MD, serves as director of player medical services.

Dr. Colvin has served as the U.S. Open's chief medical officer for a decade, becoming the first Asian American and the first woman in the role.

A total of 15 Mount Sinai faculty members including physicians, specialists, consultants and medical staff will support players at the 2023 U.S. Open.
