Here are three orthopedic practices and health systems partnering with professional sports organizations that Becker's has reported on since Sept. 19:
1. Washington University Orthopedics and Major League Soccer club St. Louis City Soccer Club partnered. Physicians from the practice will be the official team physicians for the soccer club, and Robert Brophy, MD, was named the head orthopedic surgeon.
2. North Chesterfield-based OrthoVirginia and the Washington Commanders NFL team inked a partnership. OrthoVirginia will provide the team's care and recovery services.
3. Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers. Penn Medicine will be the team's official healthcare, orthopedic and hospital partner, and its branding will be on the team's shooting shirts.
