A spine practice clinching private equity investment and four more centers to know:

Microspine (Scottsdale, Ariz.). Microspine was founded and operated by Issada Thongtrangan, MD. He treats a variety of spine conditions including herniated discs, back pain and lumbar degenerative disc disease.

ScopeSpine (Dulles, Va.). ScopeSpine is a specialty clinic dedicated to minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery. The practice is a division of The Orthopedic Group in Leesburg, Va. and is affiliated with Metro Orthopedic & Sports Therapy in Potomac, Md.

Spine Institute of the Carolinas (Beaufort, S.C.). Spine Institute of the Carolinas is operated by Jeffery Reuben, MD, and Craig Boatright, MD. They treat conditions including spine fractures, spinal stenosis and kyphosis.

Spine Institute of Central Florida (Lakeland). Spine Institute of Central Florida has three surgeons and 11 total staff members who focus on surgical and nonsurgical care. More than 95 percent of patients have been treated without surgery.

Summit Spine & Joint Centers (Atlanta). Summit Spine & Joint Centers has 21 providers and 17 locations. In June, it landed private equity investment from MSouth Equity Partners.
