Phillip Kravetz, MD, joined Physician Partners of America.

Here are five things to know:

1. Dr. Kravetz is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon who uses minimally invasive techniques to treat conditions such as adult-onset scoliosis and to perform fusions.

2. He will perform minimally invasive laser spine surgery in Hurst and Frisco, Texas starting June 11.

3. Dr. Kravetz received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. He underwent fellowship training at the Institute of Spinal Disorders at Baylor University Medical School in Houston.

4. He comes to PPOA after almost 20 years in private practice.

5. PPOA created its MIS division in January 2018 when it hired James St. Louis, DO, the surgical founder of the Laser Spine Institute in Tampa.
