Worldwide, orthopedic and spine surgeons are focused on expanding their portfolios headed into 2024, with many focused specifically on new, minimally invasive techniques.
Lior Merom, MD, is an Israel-based spine surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive procedures and has practiced and trained all over the world.
Dr. Merom has training experience in Italy, Israel, Hong Kong and Australia and is a member of the Israeli Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the Israeli Spine Society.
Minimally invasive spinal procedure development does not affect patients and physicians only in the U.S., but worldwide. Procedures such as the OLLIF procedure have debuted internationally, in countries including Ecuador and Oman.
In 2021, Dr. Merom performed the first clinical case in Israel using ZygoFix's miniature screwless implant for spinal stability and fusion, which offers an alternative solution to traditional spinal fusion.
ZygoFix's Zlock first provided a minimally invasive spine care option for patients in Israel and Hungary before expanding worldwide.

LM: I am watching the furthering development of minimally invasive spine surgery techniques.

LM: I am excited about enlarging my portfolio in spine surgery.
