Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Robert LaPrade, MD, PhD, a complex knee and sports medicine surgeon at Twin Cities Orthopedics in Golden Valley, Minn., recently celebrated his milestone 500th publication on PubMed.

Colleagues lauded Dr. LaPrade for his achievements in sports medicine and for the milestone publication, titled "Single-Stage Multiple-Ligament Knee Reconstructions for Sports-Related Injuries: Outcomes in 194 Patients."

"Over the past 20 years he has been the world leading expert on complex knee pathology," said Jorge Chahla, MD, PhD, of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago. "Nobody can deny that there is a before and after the LaPrade era."

In early October, Dr. LaPrade also released a book, "The Knee Injury Bible: Everything You Need to Know about Knee Injuries, How to Treat Them, and How They Affect Your Life," which is available on Amazon.
