Dr. Frank Petrigliano becomes chief of USC Epstein Family Center for Sports Medicine

Frank Petrigliano, MD, was appointed chief of the University of Southern California Epstein Family Center for Sports Medicine at Keck Medicine of USC in Los Angeles, reports Newswise.

Three things to know:

1. Dr. Petrigliano specializes in treating injuries affecting the shoulder, knee, hip and elbow.

2. He will also operate as the head team physician for the Los Angeles Kings and become an associate professor of clinical orthopedic surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.

3. Dr. Petrigliano focuses on developing regenerative stem cell therapies for rotator cuff and cartilage injuries.
